1. Summary

Scantide is built around security and privacy analysis. We try to keep data collection limited to what is needed to provide the website, respond to requests, operate licenses/API access, improve the service, and protect the platform.

Analytics is optional. The Scantide website should not load Google Analytics until you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner or settings panel.

2. Who operates Scantide

This policy applies to Scantide and pages hosted under https://www.scantide.com. For privacy questions, contact us at contact@scantide.com.

3. Information we may process

Website visits

When you visit the website, the server may process technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service, such as IP address, requested URL, browser user agent, timestamp, referrer, and basic security logs.

Contact, beta, download, and license forms

If you submit a form, request beta access, download a product, or activate a license/API key, we may process the details you provide, such as name, email address, company name, message content, license/API metadata, product entitlement, validation status, and timestamps.

Payment and subscription information

If paid products are offered, payment processing may be handled by a payment provider. Scantide should not store full card numbers. We may store payment status, product entitlement, subscription status, customer references, and invoice metadata needed to operate the service.

Security and abuse prevention

We may process logs and technical signals to detect abuse, rate-limit requests, troubleshoot errors, prevent unauthorized access, and protect Scantide infrastructure.

4. Security scans, reports, and submitted targets

Scantide products may analyze websites, domains, hosts, certificates, DNS records, MX records, HTTP headers, cookies, scripts, trackers, service banners, public vulnerability metadata, and related technical evidence.

If you submit a domain, URL, host, or file for analysis, Scantide may process that submitted target and the resulting technical findings in order to generate the requested report. Depending on the product and configuration, scan results may be cached temporarily to improve speed, avoid repeated lookups, and support report display.

Only scan systems you own, manage, or are authorized to test. Public technical lookups and passive analysis can still produce sensitive operational information.

5. Cookies used on this website

Scantide uses a small consent cookie to remember your cookie choice. Optional analytics cookies are only used after you accept analytics.

You can change your choice at any time:

6. Analytics

Scantide may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, how visitors arrive, and where the website can be improved. Analytics is optional and should only load after you accept analytics cookies.

Analytics data may include page views, approximate location, device/browser information, referrer, session information, and interaction data. Scantide does not use analytics cookies for ad personalization on this site.

7. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate Scantide, such as hosting providers, email providers, analytics providers, payment providers, security tooling, or infrastructure services.

Some technical lookups may involve third-party or public data sources, such as DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, certificate transparency, vulnerability databases, IP/geolocation services, or similar infrastructure intelligence sources.

8. Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including service operation, security, troubleshooting, legal requirements, billing, and abuse prevention.

Server logs and cached technical scan data may be retained for a limited period to protect the platform and improve performance. Account, license, and billing records may be retained longer where needed for operational, accounting, or legal reasons.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a privacy request, contact contact@scantide.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Security

Scantide uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect the service, including HTTPS, secure headers, access controls, logging, and abuse prevention. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, but security is a core design goal for Scantide.
